The ninth edition of Videosonica has strengthened through the years thanks to a large artistic and pedagogical program, gaining an important space in the art and technology scene of Cali, both in the university circuits and independent artists as well as in laboratories. experimental existing in the city.
Edition after edition we have had the presence of artists, guests and international cultural observers interested in learning about the functioning and methodology of the meeting, generating exchanges and links to form an important platform for reflection and work on electronic art in Latin America.
Under the theme I BELIEVE IN ANOTHER, the ninth edition of Videosonica was held between October 10 and 14, 2016 with a clear commitment: to reflect on art as a creative and social transformation activity, considering the use of technology as a tool for a myriad of knowledge and the creation of bridges between the local and the global.
The main objectives of the Academic Meeting were to promote an international exchange where artists and interdisciplinary groups meet to generate collaboration networks and form an international platform to promote national artists through the documentation and dissemination of their artistic or research production, with the support of the Alliance Française of Cali.
